According to the RigData Locations & Operators Report, the U.S rig count gained (+6) up to 452 this week. The U.S. Land rig count gained (+3) to 395. Still at historical lows any new rig activity means work for the oilfield and that's a good thing.
The U.S. permit count also gained this week, up (+9) to 405. The largest filing was in Colorado where 20 new permits to drill were filed by operators.
