According to the Platts RigData Locations & Operators Report, the U.S. rig count fell slightly for the second week in a row to 1,058 rigs (-11 rigs). Rigs waiting to spud increased to 43 (up +13) and 372 rigs moved location last week.

The U.S. permit count continues its roller coaster ride and after a big lift the previous week, fell to 860 (-187) as reported in Platts RigData Permits & Players Report.
