According to the RigData Locations & Operators Report, the U.S rig count gained (+13) 471 this week. The U.S. Land rig count  gained (+14) to 420.  54 rigs are waiting to spud and 159 rigs moved location last week. The U.S. permit count gained this week,  up (+81) to 514.
