Gulf of Mexico Rig Utilization Goes Unchanged

Total mobile rig utilization in the Gulf of Mexico is unchanged this week. Current fleet utilization is 39.8%, with 41 of 103 rigs under contract or committed for work. Utilization of the marketed rig fleet, which excludes cold stacked and other rigs that are here but not marketed in the U.S. Gulf, is unchanged this week at 68.3%, with 41 of 60 units under contract. 

 

Utilization of the jackup fleet is unchanged this week at 13.0%, 6 of 46 units under contract. Marketed rig utilization is unchanged again this week at 35.3%, with 6 of 17 units under contract.

 

Floating rig utilization is unchanged again this week at 61.4%, 35 of 57 units are under contract. Marketed utilization is unchanged again this week at 81.4%, with 35 of 43 units under contract or committed for work.

 

Total platform rig fleet utilization is unchanged again this week at 48.8%, 20 of 41 units are under contract. Marketed utilization is unchanged again this week at 55.6%, with 20 of 36 units under contract or committed for work.

 

Inland barge utilization is unchanged again this week. Currently, 13 of 44 units are under contract, for utilization of 29.5%. Marketed rig utilization is unchanged again this week at 35.1%, with 13 of 37 units under contract.
