In the last 30 days, 389 new well starts have started in Texas. The top operator is Pioneer Natural Resources, with 23 new well starts. Marathon Oil also has 23 new well starts. 

The total PTD for the top 20 operators in Texas is 2,478,10 ft. Midland, Texas, RRC-8 continues to be the hottest area for drilling activity,  operators have had 40 new well starts in this area with an avg. ptd of 10,618 ft.
