Application Developer Analyst II

Job Description Summary

The Application Developer Analyst II will have experience writing programs using C#, .NET, MVC, Object Oriented programming, relational databases, and other Microsoft specific development technologies including, but not limited to Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Required Experience:
  • 3 years minimum experience developing in the preferred environment.

    Understands the programming concepts.

    Trained on the tools/techniques or has direct experience with them.

    Understands the concept of basic development design patterns and techniques.

    Can recommend design patterns and techniques.

Other Skills:
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a project team, foster team cooperation.

    Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs.

    Ability to communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements:
  • Noise: Low noise.

    Standing/Lifting: Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand.  Occasionally required to lift and/or move (push/pull) up to 25 pounds.

    Visual: Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision.

    Stress: Typical moderate level of stress; must have ability to self-manage and calmly react to daily business issues and challenges.

    Travel: None expected.

General Job Duties:
  • Participates in the design, planning, development, installation, and support of solutions based on customer requirements.

    Gathers requirements with team involvement.

    Takes lead as part of a project team to design, code, and test and implement programs to support the Product Development process.

    Determines programming design needs.

    Takes initiative to gather and document requirements.

    Uses established testing procedures to ensure application is thoroughly tested throughout development and before release.

    Monitors and reports to management on project status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend and implement corrective measures.

    Works closely with product and project managers to elicit and understand business requirements.

    Effectively communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

    Works in team environment with direct supervision and independently with task driven directives and little follow up as needed.

    Additional duties as required.
